IVE MENDES TO PREMIERE NEW SONG “GRAÇAS A DEUS” AT THE SYMPHONY OF MERCY IN KRAKOW

Brazilian artist Ive Mendes, celebrated for her blend of Bossa Nova, Smooth Jazz, and Soul, will perform at the Symphony of Mercy during Krakow’s Feast of Mercy. Mendes will premiere “Graças a Deus,” a spiritual composition by Bartek Gliniak, on April 26, 2025. She will perform alongside the renowned Beethoven Academy Orchestra and artists from 16 countries, delivering a powerful message of faith and unity.

The Symphony of Mercy is a monumental event combining orchestral music, choirs, prayers, and readings from the Diary of St. Faustina Kowalska. Global broadcasts will connect key sites in Tanzania, Brazil, the United States, Australia, and Rome, sharing peace and compassion worldwide.

Upcoming Album “Presence”

An Invitation to Faith and Gratitude

While “Graças a Deus” was composed for the Symphony of Mercy, its themes of faith and gratitude also shape Mendes’ upcoming album, “Presence,” set for release in autumn 2025. The album explores self-discovery and spiritual growth, focusing on divine guidance and human connection.

”‘Presence’ is my way of expressing gratitude for the gift of life and the importance of caring for ourselves and others. It’s an invitation to reflect on the guidance that connects and supports us all,” Mendes shared. The album will feature collaborations with guest artists, further emphasizing themes of unity and connection.

A Unique Musical Journey

Born in Brazil

Born in Ceres, Brazil, Ive Mendes has a rich heritage of Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, and Indigenous Brazilian ancestry. She began singing in church and studying piano at a young age, later earning a music degree from the University of Goiania. Transitioning from teaching to performing, Mendes captivated audiences with her sophisticated blend of Brazilian rhythms and jazz.

Since her 2002 debut, Mendes has performed at prestigious venues and festivals. Her album “Magnetism” achieved double platinum status in Poland.

The Symphony of Mercy: A Global Celebration of Faith

Composed by Bartek Gliniak and inspired by St. Faustina Kowalska’s Diary, the Symphony of Mercy brings together soloists, choirs, and symphony orchestras from 16 countries. The event is under the patronage of the Dicastery for Culture and Education and supported by religious leaders, including Cardinal José Tolentino Mendonca and Archbishop Marek Jędraszewski.
